Model Chapter 1
Share |

Implementation of the Florida Building Code 6th Edition (2017) will occur at midnight December 31, 2017. To assist Building Officials in the adoption process, BOAF has drafted an updated Model Chapter 1 template that your jurisdiction may choose to implement as local administrative amendments. If adopted, local administrative and technical amendments to the Florida Building Code must be submitted to the Florida Building Commission within 30-days of approval.

It should be noted that this document is designed to be modified to suit local administrative needs. Specific areas of the document which require local amendment are accented with red text. Ordinary text represents the base language contained in the Florida Building Code and should not be modified. Gray shaded areas represent suggested language developed by BOAF which can be retained, modified or removed, based upon local need.

Download the BOAF Model Chapter 1 from the BOAF Document Exchange. You will need to be logged into the website.
