Call for Presentations

Five Tech Talks will be presented at the BOAF Emerging Tech event.

If you are a provider of technology for the building construction industry, consider sponsoring this event and presenting a professional development session. Examples of content may include: electronic signatures, paperless plans submittals, electronic permitting, the use of drones in building code compliance, building information modeling - this is your opportunity to tell us about your company's innovative technology!

Tech Talk: Professional Development Breakout Session/Sponsorship Proposal Form

This is your opportunity to showcase emerging technology to the building code compliance industry. Breakout Session sponsors will be selected from the Call for Presentations and will present a professional development session topic for continuing education credit. Each professional development breakout session will be presented twice. Sessions submitted should qualify for state licensure credit toward CEUs. Organizations approved as continuing education providers by Florida's DBPR will be responsible for submitting CEUs directly to licensure boards or working with BOAF to obtain approval under BOAF's provider number. Breakout session sponsors also receive Tabletop Exhibit space, Ignite Presentation* during Friday's Networking Luncheon, and recognition as a sponsor.

Breakout sessions will be reviewed by the Professional Development & Education Committee (PDEC). In creating a vendor-neutral session, please plan for a 75-minute session that will include 50-minutes of educational content plus a question/answer session. If selected, your sponsorship package will include recognition as a sponsor onsite, in the program guide and on the BOAF Emerging Tech Website, a tabletop exhibit throughout the event and during Thursday's reception, and an Ignite Session during Friday's Networking Luncheon.  Sessions should be vendor-neutral but include enough details that continuing education units will be obtainable from state licensure boards and through ICC's Preferred Provider Program. Include an upload of a timed outline. Selections for sessions will be notified after August 1, at which time the $2,500 sponsorship fee will be invoiced. If selected, BOAF will require a high-resolution copy of sponsor logos for promotional purposes.  Click here to submit to the Call for Presentations.
