You may register for any class now, without payment obligation even if it has not been scheduled!! This helps us with seating and attendance. It also insures you a place in this class. You will be notified as soon as your class has been scheduled. If you’re unable to attend just let us know at least (5) days prior to class to avoid the $25.00 administrative fee.

Foundation classes are designed to provide participants with a thorough familiarization of the subject matter. They are a great opportunity for newly licensed inspectors, inspectors participating in the cross training program, applicants preparing for an exam, and inspectors that need a refresher.   

This course is designed to provide participants holding a standard inspector or plans examiner license issued under F.S. 468 in any discipline other than mechanical the classroom training required to participate in the Electrical Inspector or Plans Examiner Foundation Training Program as authorized under FAC Rule 61G19-7.001(1).

  •  5th Edition of the Florida Residential Code
  • 2011 NFPA-70 (National Electric Code)

KNOW BEFORE YOU GO. Lunch is not included in registration fee. Photo ID is required for daily admission and license verification. Credits will not be reported until payment in full is received. BOAF is not responsible for licenses that require self-reporting. A download-able Certificate of Completion will be available 10 days after completion of course.


CANCELLATION POLICY. All cancellations must be submitted in writing. Any registration cancelled more than 10 days prior to the start of the scheduled course will receive a refund minus a $25.00 administrative fee. Cancellations less than 10 days before the class will receive a 50% tuition refund. Registration transfers will incur a $25 administration fee. To transfer a registration, please contact BOAF's Training Department
