The Building Officials Association of Florida (BOAF) is a chapter of the International Code Council (ICC).

BOAF is also a member of the International Code Council (ICC) Region IX, representing the gulf coast states of Alabama, Florida, Louisiana and Mississippi. ICC regional chapters create a stronger, more unified network of building safety professionals, and provides greater political strength when addressing code adoption and code development issues.

Celebrate Building Safety Month in May, a public awareness campaign offered each year to help individuals, families and businesses understand what it takes to create and sustain safe and sustainable structures. The campaign reinforces the need for adoption of modern, model building codes, a strong and efficient system of code enforcement and a well-trained, professional workforce to maintain the system.
